'Kumite' in Simmey-do
Kumite in Simmey-do karate
Kumite - main component of style
Simmey-do. The system of training fighter in Simmey-do lays special emphasis on this component. Recently the majority of the
schools of contemporary combat skills attempt to conduct the instruction of their fighters, using a rigid sparring into the
complete contact. Life showed that the contact forms of single combats at present progress more rapidly than those, which
use conditional contact. One of the components of style Simmey-do is the school of Kyokushin-kai tire, which is considered
as the most rigid of that existing. However, rules Simmey-do even more remove conditionality with conducting of sparring,
which makes the fighter technique of freer and even more rigid, than into Kyokushin-kai. In the occupations the teacher gives
more than 50 percent of the methods and of bonds, which find application in real combat and well recommended himself with
the protection or the attack in many struggles, i.e., from entire arsenal of methods are taken most effective. For the exception
of traumatism with the instruction and in the sparring, at the initial stage adapts light contact; with the work of more experienced
students - average, and in the sparring of experienced students - complete contact. The study of base methods and bonds independently
by students, finalizing attacks on the bags, the pears, makivarakh without Kumite does not make it possible to develop valuable
fighter, who possesses solid spirit, ready to struggle at any time. Therefore the system of trainings v Simmey-do sets as
its objective development in the fighters of solid spirit and body. All this occurs in the long period, after the stressed
trainings, when the experiences of student and the fear of struggle gradually, with hardening of his spirit and body, pass
into a constant readiness for the battle. The experience of preparation in the school Simmey-do, laying emphasis on Kumite
as main component in training of fighter, showed its advantage over other systems of preparation, which are oriented only
to the technical perfection or only to the realization of the possibilities of the student through kata (although to study
and to the improvement of style and of kata technique in Simmey-do.
is given sufficiently much attention and time). Kumite enters into the program of
the certification of students, beginning with 8 kyu (2 sparrings into the complete contact, with duration on 2 minutes). Certification
on the 1st kyu (brown belt) includes 20 sparrings on 2 minutes. Certification to the black belt includes continuous sparring
for the hour with those being constantly changed sparring partners. The advantage of the style of any school of karate determines
sparring. It cannot be said that one or other school or another (or style) weak or poor, indeed the techniques and the perfection
of each style were added sufficiently long time and proved their vitality. Everything depends on purpose, which places in
its activity this school. Purpose Simmey-do - the preparation of strong by spirit and by the body of fighter, who participates
in the sparring according to the hard and fast rules into the complete contact, who possesses grow prettier by techniques
and tactically competent.

History of Our Federation
I was born in Lebanon 1967,
in the capital city, Beirut. In 1980 I started to practice karate kyokushin-kai. My teacher was grand master HASHEM MAKKI,
the branch chief of the Lebanese kyokushin-kai organization. In 1984 I attended
the 1 Dan black belt degree. After that I came to Odessa (Ukraine), to study. In
1988, I organized my first group and started to teach karate. My club’s name was karate dojo, and it was in Odessa city.
In the year 1990 I returned
to Lebanon and took a test on the 2-end Dan. After my return to Odessa, I knew
that already exist a Ukrainian kyokushin-kai federation, but from the first contact with them, I felt that I’m not welcome
in there organization. On 1991 I developed my own federation and style. It was the simmey-do karate or the way of the bright
spirit. It is a mix style, so universal. The base was kept from kyokushin-kai karate with the adding of jiu-jitsu elements
and kickboxing punches. At the present time a have many branches in a different country’s. Russia, Ukraine, Chechnya,
Dagistan, Armenia and many more. My federation organizes tournaments and my pupils tack participation in deferent kinds of
championships. The movement of my federation is continuing, because my style
is a way. A way of life and discipline. Let us not forget that the deep meaning of the karate is not to defeat somebody, but
in the first place to defeat our one self’s.
